Fall Nail Colors for 2026: What Draper Is Wearing
There is one week every September when Draper quietly decides that fall has arrived. The mornings turn crisp on the Corner Canyon trails, the sweaters come out of the back of the closet, and our booking calendar fills up with clients ready to retire their summer brights. At Power of Polish, our nail salon in Draper, Utah, this is easily one of our favorite times of year. Fall polish is rich and warm, it flatters every skin tone, and it looks incredible in photos. Here is what we are loving for fall 2026, plus how to pick the shade that will suit you best.
The Fall 2026 Color Story
Three color families are leading the season, and honestly, you cannot go wrong with any of them.
Warm neutrals with depth. Think mocha, toasted almond, soft caramel, and that greige that goes with absolutely everything. These are the shades our clients rebook the most because they look polished at work, at church, and at a Friday night football game.
Deep berries and wines. Plum, mulled cranberry, and oxblood are back in a big way. A deep berry is the easiest way to feel seasonal without going full holiday too early.
Unexpected earth tones. Olive green, cinnamon, deep teal, and rich chocolate brown. If you want something a little different from what everyone else is wearing, start here.
If you only have room for one set before the holidays, a warm mocha or a deep berry will carry you from now through Thanksgiving without ever looking out of place.
Finishes Worth Asking For This Season
Color is only half the story. The finish is what makes people stop and ask where you got your nails done.
Glazed and pearl toppers. A sheer shimmer laid over any base color for that soft, lit from within look. Gorgeous over a neutral.
Velvet cat eye. Magnetic polish that shifts in the light like crushed velvet. Stunning over berry and deep teal, and it is the single most requested effect we do in the fall.
Chrome. Still going strong, and a warm bronze or copper chrome is very fall.
Matte topcoat. Takes a deep wine or an olive from pretty to editorial in one step.
Hand painted accents. Tiny leaves, plaid, abstract swirls, or a single accent nail. Our team also does custom airbrush work, so if you have a look saved on your phone, bring it in and we will talk through how to make it yours.
Homecoming, Fall Weddings, and Getting Ahead of the Holidays
September and October are busy around here for a reason. Homecoming season hits the Draper area high schools, fall weddings fill up every weekend, and then the holiday parties arrive faster than anyone expects.
A few things worth knowing if you have an event coming:
Book one to two weeks out for anything that matters. Our event weekends fill first, especially Fridays and Saturdays.
If you want length or a specific shape for a photo heavy occasion, ask about gel or acrylic extensions. They give us a perfect canvas for detailed art.
Planning a fall wedding? Come in for a trial set before the big day so there are no surprises in your photos.
